Primal Aliens Monday, April 18, 8pm Selah Artistic Giving Center Los Angeles, California Line Space Line is a weekly new and improvised music series held every Monday night at Selah Artistic Giving Center in downtown Los Angeles. Primal Aliens is a group of international musicians consisting of two Commonwealth performer/composers, Johnny Chang (New Zealand) and Eric KM Clark (Canada) and Japanese media artist Masahiko Sunami. Using a computer to record and manipulate the sounds of violinists on stage in real time, the group explores different modes of interaction and improvisational processes. The result is a sublime sound environment built from the textures created by the instruments on stage; musical ideas are constantly created, worked and reworked in a complex cycle of musical communication.
