def Dumb and Bass fREAKoUT! is a monthly, free event occuring the 3rd Sunday of every month and sponsored by defDumbAndBass.com and downtown Baltimore club "the Royal". Now in its second year, the def Dumb and Bass fREAKoUT! exists to showcase the diversity of different disciplines and media being worked in and on in the Baltimore area. A typical evening will include live music, electronic music, performance art, DJs, belly dancing and interactive video.

The event series is public service for the city of Baltimore: No admission has been charged and all performers have donated their time to allow this cultural outreach to occur for over a year now, the result of which is to exalt the obscure and put people in contact with "the known unkonwns".
