Five (and-a-half) Gardens

Sunday, March 6 at 2pm and 8pm
Matthews Acting Studio
Princeton, New Jersey

Five (and-a-half) Gardens is an hour-long performance combining animated paintings, electronic performance, and electro-acoustic chamber music performed by the groups Trollstilt and So Percussion. The stage itself becomes a garden of inventive new musical instruments and energetic performance. Japanese and Norwegian folk traditions are literally woven together with contemporary performance technologies to synthesize a compelling new work deeply rooted in these disparate yet surprisingly harmonious traditions. Created by: Dan Trueman, Judy Trueman, Tomie Hahn, Curtis Bahn, So Percussion, Monica Mugan, Jonathan Lee Marcus, Benjamin Kato.
